My most recent painting is a concept for a futuristic city on a faraway planet. The air is not breathable so the city is protected by a bubble, represented by the white pattern in the sky. I wanted the hill and the buildings to look like they belong together, the buildings could be made of natural materials (somehow) and in the distance one of the rooftops is growing trees. I thought of painting a tree that was a mix of a japanese sakura tree and an african umbrella tree, for the shape. I love them. Im quite pleased with the colours and overall look but I know I have a lot to learn in terms of structures and how things fit together, that will be one of my greatest challenges, as well as colour and light. Cities are fun to paint and draw though!!! n___n
