Oh man, 2:30 am...i gotta stop doing this. I can hardly see what Im typing since my eyes are so heavy! Jeebus girl!! Unfortunately for me I am neither a morning nor a night owl.. and yet my drive to create and illustrate hits me around 9:30 PM-3:00 AM. The rest of the day is squandered trying to organize my life. All in vain, mostly.

Yea so anyways. This year the teachers have been laying it in us to figure out WTF we are trying to do with our art and establish a STYLE. This has me stressed out throughout the day and though I seemed to be going in some sort of direction, I wasnt happy with it in general. But in the past few days Ive had this gusto to work til all hours of the night while forfeiting everything that i should be doing to stay healthy (DEAR GOD I NEED TO DIET) and I drew the last few things that I posted. Now, I do like them mostly, but they dont encompass everything im trying to do. WHich is way too much, as always. Here are my general inspirations/ directions:

- Blaine Fontana (LOVELOVELOVE)
- Amano (sukisukisuki!!)
- Sweet video game character design and matte painting (PRINCE OF PERSIA 2008 *drool*)
- A happy medium between realistic figures and cartoony (with a splash of anime lol)
- Mixing a sense of depth with graphic elements
- Gothic - Victorian - Steampunk
- Cute morbid things
- etc etc...

Its so weird its like a mix of "FML + I LOVE THIS SO MUCH MORE THAN ANYTHING TANGIBLE". I need to practice painting and drawing and go to extra life sessions whenever possible ... possibly take some digital painting courses and anything that could enlarge my tiny grasp of the adobe programs..


Guys I miss you all, I feel so out of touch. Especially my montreal crew.
